Straight Talk, which is owned by Verizon, has announced upgrades for its Silver Unlimited, Gold Unlimited, and Platinum Unlimited plans, adding faster 5G Ultra Wideband access, more hotspot data, expanded international coverage, and Home Internet bundle savings. The monthly base prices stay the same, and the Silver Unlimited plan has been $45 per month since 2009, impressively.
That plan now gets 5G Ultra Wideband access, 15GB of hotspot data (50% more than before), and unlimited international talk and text to Canada, Mexico, India, and China.
Gold Unlimited, at $55 per month, also gets 5G Ultra Wideband access, along with 50GB of hotspot data (66% more), and unlimited international talk and text to over 200 destinations plus 10GB of roaming data in Canada and Mexico. It keeps its Walmart+ membership and 100GB of cloud storage too.
Last but not least, Platinum Unlimited costs $65 per month and comes with 5G Ultra Wideband access, unlimited premium data and hotspot, unlimited international talk and text to over 200 destinations, 10GB of roaming data in Canada and Mexico, a Walmart+ membership, 500GB of cloud storage, and $10/month tablet service at no extra cost if you bring your own tablet.
Customers on any of the three plans can now also add Straight Talk Home Internet for $35 per month, which is $10 less than the standard $45 rate. Straight Talk says the new improvements are “designed to solidify its position as the value leader for value-driven consumers”. You can find Straight Talk’s plans exclusively at Walmart and online.
