According to a new rumor out of China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come with three different material options on its back, one more than its predecessor which launched earlier this year.
The prolific Digital Chat Station on Weibo tells us to expect the 15 Ultra to come in variants with a fake leather back, a glass back, and a ceramic back. Those are currently all of the mainstream finishes for high-end devices, so it will be impossible not to find one that suits your taste.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, and it will have a “2K” (aka QHD+) touchscreen with micro-curves on all sides, much like the 14 Ultra. The camera bump will once again be a huge circle, centered horizontally on the back.
A previous rumor told us that the device would go with a 200 MP periscope zoom camera, which will provide 4.something x zoom. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is shaping up to be quite the imaging beast, just like its predecessor which we’ve reviewed in depth here. If the launch time frame remains the same as last time, then expect the 15 Ultra to become official at MWC in Barcelona in February.
