Walt Disney World has released resort discounts for Halloween and Christmas, so if you’re traveling between now and the end of 2025, you have options. There are even targeted discounts that are as low as $129 per night for Value Resorts, making this holiday season a great time to book a trip. In theory.
Unfortunately, the practical reality is that many dates are sold out partially or entirely, as we recently addressed in Why Walt Disney World Resorts Are Sold Out Despite Lower Crowds. That post looks at what’s up the sold out resorts, how to book dates that appear unavailable, and explanations as to why this happens.
Nevertheless, we recommend pricing out all of the discounts currently available directly from Walt Disney World. This includes special offers for the general public, Florida and Georgia residents, military members, and everyone else. There are even late 2025 discounts at the Swan & Dolphin (and Swan Reserve) if you’re looking for a quasi-Deluxe Resort in the Crescent Lake area.
The problem, as noted above, is that there are not a whole lot of options for many of those dates via Walt Disney World directly. With Fall Break, Veterans Day, Jersey Week, and other holidays all fast approaching, this lack of availability should make some degree of sense for many dates.
But there’s also little availability during our favorite week of the year at Walt Disney World, which we’ve praised for low crowds. So it’s not just peak weeks that have a lack of options, but also fan favorite ones. (Not to mention cheaper holiday season travel windows.) After all, on-site capacity accounts for a minority of park guests on a daily basis.
Enter the latest Walt Disney World resort discount: special rates starting at $82 are available to book and stay now through November 23, 2025 at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels. Some blackout dates may apply, and availability may be limited. The rates do not include resort fees, daily parking fees (if applicable), taxes or gratuities.
Each resort is an official Walt Disney World Resort Hotel located within walking distance of the area’s finest shopping, dining and entertainment via the pedestrian skybridge to Disney Springs. This special offer is exclusively available through the Disney Springs Resort Area Official Discount Website and is not valid with any other special offers, promotions, existing reservations or groups.
Here are starting prices for each of the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels under this discount:
- DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando – Rooms from $122/night
- Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Rooms from $127.99/night
- Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace – Rooms from $197/night
- Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Rooms from $164/night
- Holiday Inn Orlando – Rooms from $86/night
- Renaissance Orlando Resort & Spa – Rooms from $89/night
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista – Rooms from $82/night
Note that most of these hotels have resort fees, some of which are absolutely absurd. As a result, we couldn’t find a single night that was actually under $100 once all was said and done. Still some good deals to be had, but out the door prices are not as low as they might seem.
Compare this with the ongoing Florida and Georgia resident deals. This offer is valid for stays most nights from November 16 to November 29, 2025; and December 12 to December 25, 2025.
- $129 Per Night, Plus Tax for Standard Rooms at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- $199 Per Night, Plus Tax for Preferred Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- $299 Per Night, Plus Tax for The Lion King Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- $319 Per Night, Plus Tax for Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- $429 Per Night, Plus Tax for Savanna View Rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- $449 Per Night, Plus Tax for Resort View Rooms at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
As noted above, there are other Annual Passholder and general public discounts available via Walt Disney World. The big issue at this point is availability. You’re going to be hard-pressed to find the above rates, especially for longer date ranges.
Guests of Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels receive additional benefits to add value to their Walt Disney World vacation, including the following:
- Complimentary transportation – Hourly bus shuttle service for Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels guests is available to all Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Individual hotel shuttle schedules vary.
- Early Entry – Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels guests enjoy even more magic with 30-minute early entry to any theme park daily.
- Golf – Tee times can be booked up to 90 days in advance with discounts on greens fees and rental equipment for all four Walt Disney World Golf courses.
- Passport to Savings—an exclusive booklet of special offers from select Disney Springs restaurants and shops.
Note that Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels do NOT have the 7-day booking window for Lightning Lanes. That might be a potential deal-breaker if you plan on purchasing paid FastPass, as inventory will be limited at the 3-day mark.
Personally, if I planned on buying Lightning Lane Multi-Pass on multiple days (likely Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom), I’d be very hesitant about staying off-site. There are still same-day ride reservation refills, but not having the on-site advantage puts you at a definite disadvantage unless your refresh game is really strong.
Of the actual perks, the only big advantage is Early Entry (see our Guide to Early Theme Park Entry at Walt Disney World), which all of these Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels offer. That can be especially huge this time of year, and potentially save you from needing to buy Lightning Lane Multi-Pass in the first place.
We are also big fans of the skybridge over to Disney Springs. If you’re the type that likes to do a late dinner, or go out for nightlife after the parks, this is a huge advantage. Very few restaurants at the Walt Disney World hotels are open after park closing, which can make staying at the Disney Springs Resort Area if you’re a night owl.
Nighttime is the best time at Disney Springs, and it also helps that the coming months also have cooler temperatures. Back in a previous life (January 2018), we did a lengthy trip bouncing around the different Disney Springs resorts while also eating at a different then-new restaurant every single evening after the parks. It was an awesome and memorable experience that included the opening of the Edison, Maria & Enzo’s, and a few other venues.
Our Advice
If at all possible, we’d highly recommend booking one of the Walt Disney World resorts or even the Swan & Dolphin. The current special offers are pretty strong, especially if you qualify for an AP or Floridian rate.
The Swan & Dolphin offer better perks than the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, and even most Disney-owned hotels. That’s because, in addition to Early Entry, Swan & Dolphin guests are eligible for Extended Evening Hours, whereas Value and Moderate Resort guests are not. Extended Evening Hours is huge, and the Swolphin offers the perfect location for it during the next few months, when it’ll be mostly at EPCOT and DHS.
Swolphin guests also have the pre-arrival window for booking Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass. Guests of the Swan & Dolphin are able to purchase these line-skipping services up to 7 days in advance of their stay, just like other on-site Deluxe Resort guests.
The main reason we’re sharing this Disney Springs discount is because it may not be possible! If you’re contemplating a relatively last minute October or November stay, many resort and room combos are long sold out. So unless you want a suite at Coronado Springs or the garden cottages at BoardWalk (which are actually cute and charming, just a tad impractical), this may be your best option.
We’re also sharing this discount because it’s been a while since we’ve given these on-site hotels any attention whatsoever. Consider this your periodic reminder: Hey, these hotels exist and offer limited on-site perks, sometimes competitive pricing, and a convenient location to Disney Springs.
Longtime readers may recall that we used to have a lot of coverage of the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels. We actually like most of these hotels, and find them to be worthwhile options. That’s doubly true if you’re splitting time between Walt Disney World and Universal, but do not want to do a split stay.
There are a number of reasons we haven’t done as many stays at Disney Springs in the last several years, but the biggest one is transportation. I’m not a fan of the bus service offered by those hotels, especially to Magic Kingdom and first thing in the morning or at the end of the night. It’s bad to the point of being unusable.
Between that and the ever-changing nature of field testing in the last few years, we’ve done more on-site stays and fewer off-site stays. I also think that pricing and perks have strongly tipped the scales in favor of staying on-site, even if at the All Stars, but that’s more subjective.
On the topic of transportation, one thing that seems worth commenting on is recent Uber and Lyft prices in Central Florida. During my last few research trips, I have stayed off-site several times–and also at Universal Orlando. This has meant multiple transfers per trip, using rideshare every single time.
I’ve been downright shocked by the ease and affordability of using Uber and Lyft around Central Florida. It feels like 2015 all over again, both in terms of pricing and the high volume of drivers. This was not the situation from 2021 through last year, and frankly, it feels like there’s been a big shift even over the course of 2025.
Honestly, I’ve had several rides that didn’t seem like they made economic sense. It was one thing when Uber and Lyft were subsidizing their services and taking losses to gain market share; now, not so much!
This probably is not good news for the Central Florida labor market, but when it comes to transportation between Disney and Universal, and from off-site accommodations to either, it’s big news.
Point being, if you’re considering one of these Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, you should consider budgeting a bit on Uber and Lyft each day in lieu of their provided transportation. And you should consider them in the first place because rideshare is reliable and reasonably priced again!
(Finally, consider allocating some of that money to rideshare tips. While trying to figure out the ‘economic viability’ of my $5 ride across WDW property, I came across a startling statistic that only ~30% of passengers tip. I’m as fed up with the proliferation of U.S. tipping culture as much as the next person, but tipping drivers strikes me as far more warranted than someone handing me a doughnut from a case. YMMV.)
We really need to get back and re-review some of these hotels, as it’s been several years since we stayed at some of them. With that caveat in mind, here’s the order I’d prioritize them:
- Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando (no resort fee; newest & nicest)
- Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa (formerly B Resort; wins on intersection of price & quality)
- DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando (dated but spacious rooms)
- Holiday Inn Orlando Disney Springs (okay hotel at a great price)
- Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace (we like the BVP, but this is too expensive–especially after resort fee)
- Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista (lower ranking based on price)
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista (not actually that cheap given absurd resort fee; garden wing rooms are also very dated–we wouldn’t stay in those, period)
You’re also likely going to find that several of these resorts also have very limited availability, so you may not have much of a choice when it comes to which one(s) to book! Again, you can book directly by clicking here.
