The Role You will be joining a dynamic and successful team of highly motivated sales and applications people in the India Sales team. The selected candidate has the responsibility to drive the sales from Strategic and Key Global accounts across Sustainable Energy, Industrial Automation and Aerospace & Defence segments. The objective is to grow profitable and sustainable business through the identification of new projects and building trust and high mindshare at assigned accounts. You need to be a good listener, able to digest and understand your account’s complex challenges and be able to distil them for your colleagues and collaboratively work across different regions. You are accountable for the successful growth of these accounts and be a team player, collaborate well and be flexible to adapt to dynamic situations.
Key Job Responsibilities
This role reports into the Sales Leadership, who owns the business from Strategic & Key accounts spanning Aerospace & Defence, Energy, Industrial Automation and Instrumentation market segments
- Develop and augment the understanding of Energy, Industrial Automation, Aerospace & Defence market segments.
- Develop executive-level relationships with key accounts and become a trusted advisor to the customer.
- Drive and be the respected interface between all relevant levels (including. Execs) at the Account as well as the ADI organisation.
- Identify opportunities, build a strategy and an account plan for revenue growth.
- Needs to be persistent and not take no for an answer when it comes to delivering a solution or winning an opportunity.
- Possess high level of technical understanding & ability to articulate solution value vs cost.
- Understand new market developments and customer engagements to influence/drive ADI´s product (design) development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ADI processes, standards, technologies & product strategy investments.
- Travel to customer sites together with the Field Technical Team & Business Unit staff supporting deep dive discussions & hands-on technology demonstrations.
- Model and mentor professional behaviours and presentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in EEE/ECE preferred. An MBA is desirable but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of solutions driving Sustainable Energy, Industrial Automation and Aerospace & Defence is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
