As an Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the concept, development, and design of Electrical Wiring Harness while strengthening your electrical skills and mastery of engineering design concepts within Electrical Center of excellence team. You will partner with local/global teams. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, and broaden your professional network. This position performs complex electrical integration work, identifies design problems, and resolves problems.
The major focus of the job is on technical delivery.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Design/Develop Electrical Wiring harness for various Caterpillar machines
- Get involved and contribute in Development
- Perform electrical analysis and initiate ideas
- Evaluate new products, processes, or systems
- Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
- Perform product maintenance /Resolve electrical design related issues
Required Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or electrical & electronics engineering with 1-3 years experience in Automotive electrical or Heavy engineering electrical. Requires experience in Pro/E -Creo cabling.
Incumbents must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments. Requires a self-starter with technical skills. Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as product groups, customers, and suppliers.
Desired Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering,
- Pro/E -Creo Experience
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Knowledge of design for manufacturability guidelines, methodologies, and use cases; ability to use this knowledge to optimize product designs and manufacturing operations.
Level Working Knowledge
- Analyzes the implementation challenges of DFM methodologies and shares them with their supervisors.
- Documents each stage of the design process for audit and review purposes.
- Follows standard guidelines and best practices while carrying out DFM procedures.
- Implements DFM methodologies to standardize product designs, simplify operations, and reduce costs for certain types of manufacturing processes.
- Utilizes basic DFM tools and technologies to implement DFM methodologies.
Effective Communications
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
