If you ask most fans, they’ll tell you that Walt Disney World’s fanciest resort is the Grand Floridian. And maybe they’re right. It’s the flagship hotel, has the most expensive rooms, and the most formidable food scene. Nothing can touch Victoria & Albert’s, and Citricos and Narcoossee’s are arguably the two most sophisticated Signature Restaurants.
If you ask me, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is fancier. It just feels more stately and refined. With deep, masculine woods, dark colors, leather furniture, and an antique-looking globe, it reminds you of someplace that you’d imagine senators and titans of industry might have puffed on cigars and made power plays in the early 1900s. I could see the Roosevelts and Rockefellers getting into an arguments–or fisticuffs–in the lobby.
Although I wouldn’t necessarily call Yacht Club “stuffy,” that’s the word used by many fans to describe the resort. And that can be the vibe when high-end conventions are being hosted here, as businesspeople and c-suite executives do gather in the lobby and do those imagined behaviors of the Roosevelts and Rockefellers (minus the cigars). Accordingly, it shouldn’t be a surprise that WDW’s (debatably) fanciest resort has inspired its (debatably) fanciest food booth at the 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival: Yacht Grub Outdoor Kitchen.

The Yacht Grub Outdoor Kitchen is located in the former Future World on the walkway from Journey into Imagination towards World Showcase. The booths in this area are basically at the entrance to World Showcase, very near the Canada pavilion. Yacht and Beach Grub are also across from Honey Bee-stro on the same path, and the Swirled Showcase is across from that.
Most notably, these booths are by the new Playalong Bay Play Garden. Like the food booths it’s nestled between, this play area pays homage to one of Walt Disney World’s famed resort pools, Stormalong Bay at Yacht & Beach Club, mixing fun for the whole family with adventure on the high seas.
If you have kids, we’d recommend getting here fairly early (booths open at 11am–you might want to secure a spot by 10:50am) or else finding a table might be a challenge. If you don’t have kids, we’d recommend walking back towards CommuniCore Plaza and grabbing an outdoor table under the the covered area at the edge of that area. Those are tucked away and tend to fill up slower because people don’t see them from the walkway.
Here are our food reviews from the Yacht Grub:
Trio of Dips and Chips ($6.50) – This is, as the name suggests, three dips accompanied by more than three chips. This dish features caramelized onion dip, whipped feta dip, and pimento cheese with house-made potato chips and caviar.
If you’re like me, your eyes immediately went to the “caviar” in that description. See it atop the middle dip? If not, bust out your magnifying glass, as it’s there. Obviously, the caviar is just a marketing ploy to make this dish seem fancy, as it adds nothing to the taste. Like everyone else, I like to brag about the hoity-toity appearance of eating caviar, but could take or leave it. Generally speaking, “leave it” is the answer when I’m paying.
Regardless, these dips and chips are shockingly good. The pimento is the most straightforward, with a rich flavor–exactly what you’d expect. The whipped feta is more interesting, with a creamy and slight citrus flavor. The caramelized onion dip was my favorite of the bunch, with a deep flavor and pieces of onion. The chips are good–exactly like house-made chips around Walt Disney World. If this were served over at Crew’s Cup Lounge, we’d order it as an appetizer. It’s a shockingly good dish that also offers good value.
Meat Assorti ($6.75) – This consists of beef bresaola, prosciutto ham, and salami with baby arugula, pickled mustard seeds, tomato jam, truffle oil, and grilled ciabatta.
I was impressed with the quality and taste of the beef bresaola and prosciutto ham, both of which are better than you’d expect from a sub-seven dollar charcuterie plate from an EPCOT food booth. The salami is nothing special, but the other accompaniments make this feel a bit more sophisticated–and you can actually taste the truffle oil (fancy!). The grilled ciabatta is also a pleasant surprise, taste and quality-wise.
When it comes to charcuterie, I always think the operative question is whether the quality of the ingredients makes it worth your money and stomach space, as opposed to the composition of the board. In this case, I was very pleased with both, so take that as a recommendation if this piques your curiosity. As with the dips before it, the Meat Assorti strikes me as something that could be served at Crew’s Cup Lounge.
Assorted Artisanal Cheeses and Accompaniments ($6.50) – The “assorted” nature of the name makes me hesitant to list what’s included–since Walt Disney World declined to do so, meaning it’s subject to change.
Nevertheless, mine included four different cheeses, pickled vegetables, honey, tomato jam, and crackers. The cheeses are cheddars, gouda, and goat. As contrasted with the meats, I found everything here to be fairly middling, from the cheeses to the crackers. The honey was probably the highlight.
Nothing on my particular plate was low-quality or bad, by any means, but it just wasn’t up to the same level as the meat plate. But what are ya gonna do? Get meats without cheeses?! Heresy. (So I guess that means I recommend this, albeit reluctantly, too.)
Ultimately, Yacht Grub is an enjoyable Outdoor Kitchen but nothing revolutionary that makes it a must-visit. I really liked the chips & dips, but it’s admittedly nothing all that special. Same goes for the charcuterie. And it’s hard for me to want to revisit those delicious meats given the mediocre quality of the cheeses, and you can’t have one without the other. (Or rather, I can’t.)
As with nearby Beach Grub, this booth isn’t perfect and squanders the potential of being inspired by Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It would’ve been fantastic to see dishes pulled from the menus at Ale & Compass, Crew’s Cup Lounge, or Yachtsman Steakhouse. Failing that, I would’ve appreciated if the meats and cheeses were consolidated into a single charcuterie plate, and the third item were oysters (like the ones at Magnolia Terrace). Now that would’ve been truly fancy!
Still, as a one and done food booth, Yacht Grub is good enough–and I’d still recommend grabbing this grub over most of the dishes in World Showcase. But if you’re already light on stomach space or money, Yacht Grub is perfectly skippable. But you probably already knew that just by looking at the menu.
