Premium over-ear headphones no longer need to be overly expensive, believes Nothing’s CMF brand. Meet the CMF Headphone Pro, for just €100 (but down to €80 at the moment), these are well-made, feature-rich, and most importantly, they sound excellent.
For the price, you get the headphones, a nice soft-touch bag, and a 3.5mm audio cable. The headphones come in Light Grey, Light Green, and Dark Grey.
The headphone band design doesn’t fold, which is an issue if you plan on frequently carrying them around. On the upside, the headphones are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The band is clad in a soft leather-like material that sits like a cloud on your head.
There’s just enough pressure to keep the ear cups on your ears. The cups are easily removable and can be swapped for a different color. They’re also soft-touch and don’t clamp on too tightly to your ears.
There’s every indication that the CMF Headphone Pro is a comfortable set for long-wearing sessions.
Controls are excellent on the Headphone Pro. More importantly, all controls are physical switches and buttons; none of those fiddly touch-sensitive solutions here. There’s a handy scroll wheel on the right cup. Swipe up and down for volume, press for pause and play, press twice for the next song, and three times for the previous one.
Press and hold to switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode. Speaking of, there’s great passive sound isolation – colleagues said they couldn’t hear the maxed-out loudness inside the earcups. Once you enable ANC, 90% of the outside world disappears. Noise cancellation truly feels impressive in the short time I’ve tested it.
There’s a 0-100% slider on the left cup that defaults to bass but can be set to treble as well. It’s a granular control over bass that’s very well implemented. This way, you have it always at your disposal, which is excellent.
It all looks great for the CMF Headphone Pro. The set truly punches above its weight class at just €80. That price is a Prime Day deal over on Amazon. The CMF Headphone Pro is €99 on Nothing’s website.
