YouTube Music is rolling out new AI labels to help users identify songs created using AI. While artists using generative AI to make music is nothing new, listeners may not always know whether a track was created with AI.
The “Made with AI” labels are rolling out on YouTube Music starting today and will arrive on the main YouTube app soon.
Music featuring AI-generated compositions or vocals will display an AI label on the YouTube Music player page. Users can tap the label to learn more information.
YouTube says it is using its own detection tools and teaming up with music industry partners to identify music generated using AI.
