Walt Disney World has released several different discounts offering room-only or hotel + ticket package savings for Summer 2026. This post compares & contrasts these special offers, with quick back-of-envelope math so you can decide which is best and worst for your unique circumstances.
This is a tough task, as there’s currently an unprecedented 19 deals available on the Walt Disney World special offer site. In fairness, a couple of those are actually for Aulani, and several more are narrowly targeted based on affiliation (Disney+ subscriber, Visa cardholder, Annual Passholder, or Florida resident).
Even so, there are still a half-dozen different discounts for everyone for 2026, and a couple more with a low barrier to entry. All told, there are more–and better–deals than we’ve seen in a while. But not all of Walt Disney World’s aggressive special offers are good for everyone, and our goal here is to quickly (by our standards) run through the highlights of each…
It’s not just the quantity of discounts that’s unprecedented. It’s also the quality. Walt Disney World releases similar special offers on an annual basis, and a couple of these offer measurable year-over-year improvements. A couple more are on par with what we saw last year, which was an improvement over the previous year.
With that said, it’s not all great news for everyone. The ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal replaces Free Dining, and although the 2026 version of the special offer will be better for most guests, it’s worse for some (particularly larger parties of ‘Disney Adults’ in a single room).
There were also superior summer savings that dropped at the last-minute last year that surpass everything on this list. But that’s often the nature of last-minute discounts to fill unsold rooms, and we haven’t reached that point in time for Summer 2026 travel just yet.

Speaking of Free Dining, the likely reason that’s not being offered is the Kids Eat FREE All Year in 2026 at Walt Disney World! Although there’s not complete overlap between that and regular Free Dining (and in fact, there’s zero overlap with guests who don’t have kids), they’re sufficiently similar that the Kids Eat Free promo likely caused Disney to offer the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal as opposed to traditional Free Dining.
The most noteworthy aspect of the Kids Eat Free in 2026 promo is that, unlike traditional Free Dining (and almost all other special offers), it is stackable. Meaning that you can combine the Kids Eat Free promo with every single special offer on the list below.
Even if the discounts did not offer “unprecedented” savings before that, they do after. The Kids Eat Free promo should be taken advantage of by almost all parties who are eligible–it tips the scales in favor of the Disney Dining Plan in most cases (see Is Disney World’s Dining Plan Worth It in 2026? for a more thorough breakdown).
With all of that out of the way, let’s compare the 5 best and most common discounts for Summer 2026 trips to Walt Disney World…

Save Up to $250 Per Night at Disney World in Winter to Summer 2026 – Save up to $250 per night on a 4-night, 4-day (or longer) Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels, for stays most nights from from now through July 25, 2026.
- Save up to $250 per night for stays most nights February 22 to July 25, 2026
- Save up to $150 per night for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 4 to February 19, 2026
Note that this nightly discount is a sliding scale, with the lowest savings at Value Resorts (up to $75 off per night), then Moderate Resorts (up to $150 off per night) and highest at Deluxe Resorts (up to $250 off).
Save Up to $250 Per Night Winners:
- Travelers during the second set of dates, from February 22 through July 25, 2026.
- Optimal dates are after Easter but before Memorial Day; Summer minus dates around Independence Day; windows outside holiday weeks.
- Guests booking resorts with the lowest rack rates in each tier: Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Cabins at Fort Wilderness, Studios at Old Key West or Saratoga Springs, Coronado Springs, All Stars, etc.
Save Up to $250 Per Night Losers:
- Travelers during the first set of dates.
- Guests visiting during peak weeks of either set of dates.
- Most expensive resorts: Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, etc.
Bottom Line: This is a flat dollar-off amount as opposed to a percentage savings, so it’s optimized by picking the date, resort and room combo that costs least (within its tier) with the biggest dollar-off amount. This can offer over 40% off at the high end, or less than 15% off on the low end. It’s impossible to give any precise percentage savings beyond that, since every single resort + room + date combo yields different results.

‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Disney World Resort & Ticket Deal for Summer 2026 – Get 2 free nights and theme park days added when you purchase a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day (or longer) Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
- Valid for arrivals most nights from May 26 to September 15, 2026.
- Book by February 15, 2026.
To take advantage of this offer, add a minimum 6-night/6-day room-and-ticket package to your cart when booking. Prices shown will reflect the special offer.
‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Winners:
- All guests staying exactly 6 nights
- Value Resort guests staying 6-8 nights (and often 9)
- Moderate Resort guests staying 6-7 nights (and sometimes 8)
‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Losers:
- Guests staying fewer than 5 nights
- Deluxe Resort guests doing 7+ night stays
- Value and Moderate guests doing 8 or 9+ night stays
Bottom Line: The ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal is not a percentage-off discount, but it’s basically 33% off a 6-night hotel stay. Unlike the $250 off, it does scale up or down depending on dates and prices. And unlike both that and general public room-only rates, the savings are not tiered, meaning Value Resorts and Deluxe Resorts both max out at 33% off, as opposed to Values and Moderates having lower savings charts.
However, it’s only 2 nights free regardless of whether you do 6 nights or 7+ nights. Meaning a 7-night stay is 28.5% off; an 8-night stay is 25% off; 9-nights is 22% off…and so on. That’s all rough math, but it basically makes an easy benchmark for the room-only discounts below (winners and losers based on general public room-only discount, not targeted ones).

“Stay Longer & Save More” Up to 30% Off Room-Only Discount – Save on rooms at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels this summer—for stays most nights from May 1 to October 4, 2026.
- Save up to 30% for stays of 5 or more consecutive nights
- Save up to 25% for stays of 1 to 4 consecutive nights
As a rough rule of thumb, this mostly offers the following savings tiers:
- 1-4 nights: 15% Values, 20% Moderates, 25% Deluxes
- 5+ nights: 20% Values, 25% Moderates, 30% Deluxes
There are some exceptions to that, such as Coronado and All Star Sports in higher tiers, as well as French Quarter and the Polynesian in lower tiers. But by and large, it follows the above pattern, which is a familiar one that’s normal of room-only discounts.
Bottom Line: Rehashing the winners and losers sections feels like overkill here, as comparing and contrasting this to the ‘Buy 4, Get 2’ deal once you start thinking about that in terms of scaled percentage savings. With that said, this will obviously be best for anyone staying under 6 nights. It’s also a better deal for guests booking resorts at the lower percentage tiers for longer stays.

Up to 40% Off Room Deal for Annual Passholders & Floridians in Summer 2026 – Annual Passholders can save with this special offer, valid on rooms at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, most nights from May 1 to July 29, 2026.
- Save up to 40% for stays of 4 or more consecutive nights
- Save up to 35% for stays of 1 to 3 consecutive nights
Resort tiers are the same as the above general public deal, meaning this is a sliding scale with the best savings (by and large) at Deluxe Resorts, followed by Moderates, then Values. The Florida resident deal is likewise largely the same, except it maxes out at 35% off.
Bottom Line: Here is where the targeted offers start to overtake the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ or ‘Up to $250 Off’ general public package deals. This is Walt Disney World’s best deal of the year, and in fact, we’ve only seen room-only discounts max out at 40% off (even targeted ones) a few times since 2019.
Despite the lower savings, this is better for all shorter-duration stays since they’re actually eligible for this deal. On the AP side, it’s also better for for all longer stays at Deluxe and Moderate stays, since 35% or 40% off is more than a maximum savings of 33% off. Annual Passholders booking Value Resorts (except All Star Sports) still win with the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal on stays of exactly 6 nights. Same goes for Florida residents with both Value and Moderate Resorts.

This Is Too Simple.
Yes, it is. The above is to help you understand the mechanics of these discounts a little better, especially the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ and ‘Up to $250 Off’ special offers since those are more novel (room-only percentage discounts are pretty straightforward).
Hopefully that was presented in an easily-digestible form that will help you narrow your target hotels, room category, dates, etc., so that you can start optimizing the deal. Personally, I always take the room-only discount when in doubt (or if it’s a close call), as that’s the most flexible when it comes to combining with future special offers (such as ticket deals).
We also want to warn you that this is still just a jumping off point. The “problem” with Walt Disney World discounts, and reason we’ve emphasized that the above contains rough math, is because real results often vary. Which is to say that you could read our guidelines above and determine that X discount is going to be best for you…only to price things out and discover that Y is actually best.

This is largely due to one little line in the fine print of each and every deal: “The number of rooms allocated for this offer is limited.”
This means that Walt Disney World does not open up all rooms to all discounts. Just because a resort isn’t fully booked does not mean you’ll be able to apply a special offer. Even more confusingly, there are separate “pools” of room inventory for each discount–meaning your desired room type might be available for one special offer, but sold out for another.
This is the biggest way that the “best” special offer can be circumstantial, and not firmly in line with what’s listed above. Again, those are rough rules that should steer you in the right direction in terms of optimal dates, resorts, rooms, etc. You still need to comparison shop for yourself–and not just theoretically by looking at the rate charts. Actually go on Disneyworld.com and toggle between the different discounts, as there are other little quirks that can impact pricing.

If you’re overwhelmed or want someone else to do the homework for you, use a travel agent. We recommend requesting a FREE no obligation quote from Be Our Guest Vacations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and having them book for you.
They’ll assist you with the planning process, help you choose the most economical dates, best add-ons, etc. They also monitor reservations and can retroactively apply new discounts if a better deal is released to save you more money.
Similarly, they’ll help you with discount comparison shopping so you book the best discount for you, not just the catchiest one. Because 2 FREE nights and days might sound great, but just because “free” is powerful marketing language doesn’t make it the best. Doing the math matters–and they’ve got you covered there.

Finally, we are still expecting more Summer 2026 discounts. Almost certainly a couple of ticket deals, and maybe a last minute hotel discount or two (likely targeted at Disney+ or Disney Visa). And all of those are likely to be even better than the current wave of special offers, albeit with far less availability and a narrower range of dates. Whenever more discounts are released or rumored, we’ll send you an alert ASAP if you sign up for our FREE Walt Disney World newsletter.
