The quick-cure technology in the series eliminates the ageing process, enabling immediate bonding and significantly faster production speeds.
Toyochem Co., Ltd., the polymers division of the artience Group, announced the launch of its latest innovation in adhesive technology—the TOYOMELT P-201 Series of UV-curable hot melt adhesives. This product line is now available worldwide and is set to revolutionize industrial bonding for high-performance applications in electronics and automotive manufacturing.
The Series stands out for its heat resistance of over 100°C, making it ideal for bonding metal components, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, even in high-temperature environments. By integrating UV-curing technology, the company has created an adhesive that not only cures instantly for immediate tack and bond strength but also eliminates the need for time-consuming aging or drying processes—significantly boosting production speed and operational efficiency.
The key features are:
- Entirely solvent-free for a more sustainable, eco-friendly solution
- Cost-effective alternative to traditional solvent-based adhesives
- Maintains strong bonds and flexibility even at high temperatures
- Overcomes heat resistance limitations of conventional hot melts
This new series is designed to bridge the performance gap between traditional hot melts and solvent-based adhesives. Unlike solvent-based systems, which pose environmental challenges and require energy-intensive drying. In early testing, P-201 adhesives have shown superior adhesion to a wide range of hard-to-bond materials, including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), metals, and glass. Even after curing, the adhesive retains a rubber-like flexibility, allowing for movement and deformation without compromising the bond.
“The P-201 Series opens exciting new possibilities for our customers,” said Taichiro Matsuoka, Division Director at Toyochem. “It reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-performance, environmentally conscious adhesive solutions that help manufacturers meet both technical and sustainability goals.”
