The vivo X200 Ultra, which should arrive sometime between now and May, could have a Rimowa special edition. The information comes from X user Johnny Manuel who shared speculative renders of a vivo and Rimowa collab.
In case you’re unfamiliar with it, Rimowa makes distinctive bags, suitcases, and luggage with a vertically striped design. The brand also makes premium cases, notably for the Apple iPhone in the $150-$200 range.
The source doesn’t exactly make it clear whether there will be a vivo X200 Ultra with a bundled Rimowa case and accessories or whether we’re talking about a Rimowa-designed vivo X200 Ultra.
However, he does say that the X200 Ultra will have a special texture on the back in a follow-up X post.
The vivo X200 Ultra is expected to swap the 1-inch type sensor for a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-818 sensor, upgrade the ultrawide with another such LYT-818 sensor, and use the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 for the zoom camera (the same sensor as in the X100 Ultra). Fujifilm is rumored to be assisting with some camera features on the X200 Ultra, which sadly appears to be another China-locked device, like its predecessor.
